Infos about your journey

When booking online you can pay by credit card (VISA/MasterCard/Amex) or PayPal. When booking with your driver you may only pay cash. The driver will issue you with a receipt, which also doubles as ticket and booking confirmation. We regret that currently credit card payments on board are not possible. Kindly note: The driver can only issue full-fare tickets. You may purchase savings and special offer tickets online only, or at our sales points/travel agents. Our sales points/travel agents accept booking payment methods according to their internal regulations, but they will accept cash in any case. Telephone reservations and bookings can be paid by credit card Kindly note that certain payment solutions may be subject to fees applied by third parties. Fees, if any, will be indicated during the booking process, but at least one option involving no extra charges will always be available to you.

Look for the booking number you received per e-mail. You will find it in your booking confirmation. Check to see if your confirmation e-mail ended up in your spam folder by mistake. Once you have your booking number, please click under «Services» on  «Your Ticket» and log yourself in with name or e-mail address (the same you used during the booking process), and download your ticket again.

Yes, certain seats can be reserved during the booking process. This guarantees your preffered seat!    

Our offer is subject to reservation because the number of seats in the bus is limited. If an overbooking occurs, we must give priority to passengers who have a valid reservation. SBB bookings are not automatically included in our system. You still have the following options to secure your seat:

  • Book your trip directly via www.swiss-express.ch. Your seat is automatically reserved and you benefit from the best price guarantee on every trip!
  • Reserve your seat after purchasing an SBB ticket during office hours on +41 (0)848 44 14 34.

Yes, that is no problem. Kindly note though that we always send booking confirmation and ticket to the e-mail address indicated while booking. Please make sure that the person you are booking for receives the ticket from you before travelling. Since Eurobus sends any important service updates and information to the mobile number indicated in the reservation, please enter the number of the actual traveller while booking. Moreover, it is important that you enter the traveller’s correct name(s), since tickets are personal.

Within the framework of our long distance operations licence we are not allowed to provide services within fare agreement zones (ex. ZVV, frimobil, CTV etc.) Therefore, for certain travel segments no tickets can be sold.

Children under 6 years of age: children who have not yet completed their 6th birth year travel for free. Important:  seating for child passengers who have not yet completed their 6th birth year must also be booked online in advance of every journey, since places on board EUROBUS swiss-express coaches are limited and by law no standing travel is allowed. The seat reservation fee amounts to CHF 5.—per passenger and per travel segment. Important: Young children up to 4 years of age may only be transported in child seats or baby baskets. These must be secured to the seats on board, which are equipped with hip safety belts (two-point belts). Adult travellers in the party are responsible for bringing their own child seats or baby baskets with them. Children under 16 years of age: children who have not yet completed their 16th birth year travel at half price. In case of special offers on sale lower than the child fare, the child will be entitled to travel at the lower rate.

No, unfortunately it is not possible. If you do not board at the stop you have booked, your ticket will no longer be valid. If your plans change, you can still cancel and rebook your journey online up to 15 minutes before departure time. Out of insurance and technical reasons, the same also applies to leaving the coach before reaching the stop you are booked for.

The following passes are all accepted for travel at no extra charge (except for the seat reservation charge of CHF 5.—per person per travel segment) on EUROBUS swiss-express services:

  • Day pass
  • Child pass
  • Junior pass
  • Grandchild pass
  • Swiss Travel Pass

Long-distance coach services are an integral part of the public transportation system, just like city buses and trains. Since we are bound to operate according to a strict timetable, we cannot wait for individual passengers. We therefore suggest you always reach your boarding stop on time.

While travelling

Two wheelchair places available in each bus. The toilet on board our coaches is also completely accessible by wheelchair. For your journey in a wheelchair simply book a regular ticket and call Customer Service in your language at least 36 hours before departure for the free reservation of your wheelchair place:

For safety reasons, wheelchairs with electric drive cannot be transported.

Smoking on board our coaches is not permitted, including e-cigarettes. You may briefly step off the coach to smoke at scheduled stops as well as driver’s break locations. Please agree to that with the driver in advance, and do not distance yourself form the coach during breaks to avoid being left behind. The driver will tell you how long he expects to be stopping for.

For safety reasons we do not allow carriage of animals on board, exception made for guide dogs for the visually impaired or other differently-able passengers. If you are travelling with an assistant companion or a guide dog, they must be notified by telephone to number: +49 30 300 137 300 at the latest 48 hrs in advance of your coach departure time. The guide dog or assistant person will then travel free of charge. Small dogs with maximum shoulder height of 30 cm, travelling in boxes, cages or other appropriate containers may be taken into the cabin in lieu of hand luggage, free of charge. They have no right to the occupation of a seat.

After travelling

Please fill in the contact form under «Service» and «Contact»  and we will get back to you as soon as possible. The item left behind can be picked up from our office or we can post it to you against reimbursement of postal charges.  

If you know you are unable to travel, you must cancel your ticket online at least 15 minutes before scheduled time of departure of your coach. You find the mask under «Service» and «Your Ticket». In case of service change (rail instead of road transportation), and given previous certification by the staff on board, a reimbursement may be possible. A handling fee may be charged.
